Curtis Baptist School (CBS) is a comprehensive, private Christian school enrolling 230 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. We also have a day care/preschool, which has an additional 145 students in attendance. CBS has a teaching staff of 30 with an additional staff of 25 in the preschool.
The school is housed on one campus at 1326 Broad Street, Augusta, GA with athletic facilities located two miles away at 2230 Broad Street. Now 54 years old, the school opened in the fall of 1964 as a ministry of Curtis Baptist Church and graduated it’s first senior class in the Spring of 1976.
CBS is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and is an active member of the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA).
The CBS student body draws from the entire Central Savannah River Area including Richmond, Columbia, Aiken, Edgefield and Burke counties.
The Augusta community is home to Augusta University, Fort Gordon and the Savannah River Site. Several company headquarters, factories and distribution centers are located in the Augusta area. Augusta is also home to the Augusta National Golf Course which hosts the Masters golf tournament each spring.
