Ms. Turner has enjoyed a successful career in public education spanning over 10 years in North Carolina, where she served as a School Counselor (7) and Teacher (3) for Hickory City and Catawba County Schools. In these roles, Ms. Turner worked as a key member of the school system’s administrative team in several areas, including Testing Coordinator and School Counselor Mentorship Program. Before she began her career in public education; Ms. Turner served honorably in the U.S. Army for 26 years, retiring in June 2004.
Ms. Turner has an impressive academic background as well, including a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Voorhees College in Denmark, S.C. She also attended Troy State University in Troy, Alabama, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Counseling/Psychology with a concentration in School Counseling, May 2004.
Ms. Turner stated that:
